She was fire
Anger smouldering inside her like glowing embers
Stray sparks from which set her heart ablaze
And they burnt a trail navigating her soul
Until they finally escape through her fiery gaze
She was fire
Her skin burned with simmering passion
Yet she suppressed it, her lips were sealed
She locked inside, her flaming zeal
Her burning intensity she tried to quell
The world was not ready for the words she held
She is fire
She let the flames consume her whole
And burn away the tainted bits of her soul
Her trial by fire ends today
She’s stronger now in every way
And the blaze that she tried to tame in vain
Was never really meant to be restrained
The flames and her can never be apart
‘Cause she was born with fire in her heart

Anusha’s blogpost … Am seriously amazed at the way children think and write today… Our kids have so much of talent.
It’s beautiful. And somehow it reminds me of Draupadi….who was born out of the fire and always held that untamed flames inside her…
That’s a very interesting interpretation! Glad u liked it!
Born of fire? Are you speaking of Draupadi? Except for the ‘tainted soul’, everything else seems tailor made for her. Not ‘tainted’ bit, because I find her spotlessly pure.
Lovely words, though.
The Draupadi bit is just interpretation because I didn’t keep her in mind will writing this actually…but it seems amazing that it fits her so well! Thanks!
Hmm, so whom exactly did you have in mind when you wrote it? Is it an ode to an unknown woman or any other character? I’m sure you had some definite woman before your eyes when you wrote it.
I love this !
Thank you!
