If I was a Song

If I was a song, I would be
A tangle of words, a haunting melody
That speaks of sin with a taste for tragedy
A plea from the past, entrapped in memory
I’m an eclectic symphony from the start
A tribute to scars that tattoo the heart
A mess of emotions, aching for release
A chaotic crescendo that gives no peace
And yet I’m the song that will make you whole
You’ll use my words to soothe your fractured soul
But don’t desire to decipher the mystery of my song
You’ll lose your mind trying before too long.
